Toon valued Carroll at £1 million

Liverpool's £35 million striker Andy Carroll was valued at just £1 million by Newcastle United at the end of last season.

Carroll's value was set in a business plan commissioned by Newcastle owner Mike Ashley at the start of the 2009-10 campaign as he attempted to sell the club, according to The Sun.
Gateshead-born Carroll, who became Liverpool's record signing in the January transfer window earlier this year, was even earmarked a player to "monitor" as Newcastle were not sure he could help lead them back to the Premier League.
A Newcastle source told The Sun: "There were soundings taken around the club about how players should be valued and there was a feeling Andy still had to prove himself.
"He was a young lad who wasn't established in the first team and he had limited experience in the Premier League.
"It was a case of seeing how he got on at the start of last season. Andy did really well and started scoring plenty of goals.
"But if anyone had come in with a £1 million offer that summer you wonder what the club would have done."
Carroll went on to score 17 league goals in Newcastle's promotion season. Then, after continuing with 11 in 19 games in the Premier League and winning a first England cap the 22-year-old's value rocketed.
Tottenham failed to sign the 6'3" forward with a £20 million bid in January and Liverpool swooped on transfer deadline day after selling Fernando Torres to Chelsea for £50 million

Ibra reignites feud with Guardiola

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken another swipe at former employers Barcelona and also claims the Rossoneri are "more important" than Inter Milan.

Ibrahimovic joined Barcelona in a €70 million transfer from Inter in 2009 but was shipped out to AC Milan in a cut price deal after just one season.

The Sweden international blames Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola for his failure to shine at the Camp Nou and has spoken of his frustration at the way he was treated.

"At Barcelona I understood how football and things can change so fast... my problem was one man, the 'philosopher' [Guardiola]," Ibrahimovic told Eurogoals.

"The first six months were excellent. I never had any problems with anyone, there is no one who can say I did something wrong. But then something happened, even I don't know what. I am still waiting for answers."

Ibrahimovic then stuck the boot into Guardiola by highlighting the quality of his coach at Inter, Jose Mourinho, under whom he worked during his final season with the Nerazzurri.

"If you don't have someone to motivate you then you don't want to fight, this is why there are coaches," he added.

"I would have killed for Jose Mourinho, for the motivation he gave me and for how he used to stimulate me. With the other [Guardiola] there was football, but a coach must adapt his play to suit the players, especially after spending €70 million on one.

"And if you have bought a player you don't then leave him to watch the birds in the trees."

On his time with Inter, he added: "I can't speak badly of Inter because I spent fantastic moments there, but historically I believe that Milan are a more important club.

"When I arrived here a project was presented to me which wheels around me and I have been promised many things on which the club is working. It's a project that is developing and I believe that next year will be the right year to fight on all fronts

THE STORY BEHIND THE VICTORY OF MALAYSIA TO THE HONG KONG

Welcome all.

Wowww .. Yahoooo .. Horayyy .. Malaysia wins. Win beating Hong Kong by the network 2-0. Very satisfied Malayan tiger team to watch the game now (even if only watching at home). Since the AFF Suzuki Cup champion finished the day up to now, the national team's performance was so good we can be proud.

malaysia boleh

Malaysia seen all the players so excited and full of "confident" in the game last night. Players can hold the ball well, sending good and not too many lose control of the ball of the foot. This is expected by the supporters during the Malayan tiger. Increased  the much-awaited, long time football country faced the decline.
Goals scored respectively by Safiq Rahim and Amirul Hadi is a field goal that was so interesting ideas result from the players. Crafts and great courage to challenge the key to the goals scored by both of them.

Hopefully after this all the players to keep playing like this and continue to improve their performance and increase return ranking Malayan tiger team in football. MALAYSIA BOLEH!
